PIANO LESSONS
We teach Piano Lesson to all ages and levels. Lessons are tailored to each person's goals and interests. Students can learn Classical, Jazz, Blues, Broadway, or any other style of music in a fun, relaxed learning environment.

VOICE LESSONS
We specialize in Voice Lessons, and know how to reach students with the right balance of personalized attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. We make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities. Students will learn the proper vocal techniques such as breath support, vocal placement, and vowel modification, as well as have an understanding of different vocal registers.

GUITAR LESSONS
We provide Guitar Lessons for beginner to intermediate level students. As experienced and passionate Music Teachers, we believe in an approach that gives guitar students positive, constructive ways to learn. We design our lessons according to students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities. Guitar lessons consist of learning scales, chords, and strumming patterns, as well as a variety of exercises and repertoire of different styles.

VIOLIN LESSONS
We teach violin students as young as 3 years old to 85! We mainly use the Suzuki Method of training, but we will consider other methods to meet the specific needs of each student. Our training begins with an emphasis on healthy posture, physical technique, and a variety of repertoire pieces. Although sight reading is an essential part to violin training, ear training and improvisation is also encouraged.
Individual Music Enrichment Classes
Individual music enrichment focuses on an individual's specific needs and goals, Classes are is tailored to meet an individual's learning style, while developing a variety of skills, improving well-being, and fostering a deep connection with music. Individual sessions allow for more focused progress.
Group Music Enrichment Classes
Group music enrichment encourages socialization and communication, improves motor skills, and gives individuals the opportunity to have fun through the use of different music techniques and activities. Classes focus on social interaction and teamwork, providing peer interaction and a sense of community. Group activities can include song-writing, movement to music, instrument playing, sing-alongs, music themed sessions, and more.

TUITION

Tuition is paid on a monthly basis. An invoice will be sent each month with the total amount due based on the number of weeks for that month.

If preferred, students have the option of paying tuition for the full quarter (3 months) rather than monthly.

All tuition payments made for services are non-refundable even if services are not used.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What are your policies?
-
If you need to cancel your lesson, please notify your instructor with as much advanced notice as possible. If the lesson is not cancelled before 24 hours of the lesson, the lesson will not be made up. Exceptions include cancellations due to severe weather.

ONE makeup lessons/session per month is allowed.

If a student is more than 15-20 minutes late to a lesson, the lesson will be cancelled.

If a makeup lesson is cancelled by the student, the lesson will not be be rescheduled.

If a student needs to break temporarily from lessons due to schedule conflicts or financial reasons, a prepayment is required to hold their slot until the lessons begin again.

If a student decides to discontinue lesson, please let your teacher know one month in advance in order to plan for scheduling changes.

All payments made for services are non-refundable even if services are not used.
Are lessons in person or virtual?

The majority of music lessons are virtual via a variety of platforms such as Google Meets or Zoom

In-person lessons are an option for students who prefer a more hands-on approach.
How are tuition payments made?

Payments can be made through venmo, paypal, zelle, check, or direct deposit (for agency payments/self-direction). Invoices will be sent to the email you provide on your registration sheet. Payments must be made by the 1st of every month (with the exception of payments made by agencies/self-direction). If paying by check, please make the check out to "Amanda Blankenship."

If payments are received later than the 5th of every month there will be a $5 late fee added to the following month's invoice.
What if I don't own an instrument for lessons?

Guitars, violins, and keyboards can be rented from from a variety of stores. Your teacher will make suggestions for the proper instrument based on age and experience. Some students may choose to purchase their instrument online or from music stores in the area.
In order to benefit the most from virtual lessons, what do I need to participate?:

Zoom or Google Duo app on phone or computer.

Headphones (especially for voice students) to prevent delay.

Wifi- please make sure you are near the router or plugged in directly.

If you are a piano student, a phone stand is recommended in order for your teacher to see your hands.
How are lessons structured?

Lessons are structured based on the age and level of each student. Each lesson will begin with warmup exercises and techniques. Following this, students will focus on repertoire pieces from a specific book recommeded by their teacher, or a piece outside of the book that is appropriate for the student. In addition, music theory and sight reading are incorporated into each lesson.

If students desire to learn more about music theory, one lesson per month can be designed to include only theory-related material.

Since lessons are catered to each individual's specific needs, we use a variety of methods to teach instruments. Some of the most common methods are listed below:

What is the difference between music lessons and music enrichment?

Music lessons are designed to teach technique, theory, and important music fundamentals, whereas music enrichment uses music as a medium to improve overall quality of life.

Music enrichment can reduce stress, promote relaxation, elicit memories, improve social, communication, and motor skills, and provide an outlet for emotional expression. Music enrichment activities can include song writing, movement to music, name that tune, call and response, and more.
Can students perform in recitals?

For students that are interested in performing, a quarterly virtual recital will be offered via Zoom allowing students to see other performers as well.
